Friðheimar is very much a family affair, run by Knútur Rafn Ármann and his wife Helena Hermundardóttir.
Beautiful Cottagesin North Iceland
The cottage also provides a private entrance and a toilet. Comfortable and cozy cottage featuring a terrace with furniture and a bbq. We offer 9 different cottages in all sizes, from 2-person up to 10-person cottages. In our tomato shop, you can find all kinds of products made from our harvest. From the beginning, no gamestop the main focus has been on breeding beautiful horses with a good temperament and who are willing to work. The cold water we irrigate in the greenhouses is the same water we drink at home and serve to our guests in the restaurant.
And now they can take delicious food souvenirs made of our tomatoes and cucumbers away with them. The main house where we stayed was beautiful, everything looked new and built with wood. Very relaxing and quite a place to stay. We stayed in a nice cabin with a hot tub 🙂 Please contact us if you want to add an extra children bed.

Guesthouse
We also breed horses, and put on a horse show – in fourteen languages. We welcome visitors to see our greenhouses, and then enjoy a taste of the crop. Their five children, Dóróthea, Karítas, Matthías Jens, Arnaldur and Tómas Ingi, all play an active part in the family business.
